There is no bitterness like the bitterness between old comrades. Or so they say. It would appear that old mates D Trump and E Musk have seriously fallen out. Musk has declared that Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill (that’s not me being ironic – that’s what he’s actually calling it), that bill will result in a recession. He also says that the files on Jeffrey Epstein are being with-held because Trump’s name is in there. Trump for his part says Musk has gone crazy. The richest man in the world v the most powerful man in the world – quite a spectacle.
The left in the Dail have at last realised that they are getting nowhere except they present a united front. Will they? Ruth Coppinger wants to abolish capitalism. The cult of Trump will, of course, get behind daddy Donald and get stuck into Musk. Some will do it because they genuinely support him but most because they fear the repercussions of disloyalty.
