PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT MARY LOU ON TV,, D TRUMP & EPSTEIN, THE SHIT-STORM IN COMBER, & A COMING TREAT

The Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald recently appeared on the popular TV show Good Morning Britain and was interviewed by Richard Madeley about a UI poll in 2030. How did she do? Play the video for an answer.

Donald Trump is in something of a pickle over the Epstein files. The suspicion is that his name is in there somewhere, and his MAGA bas are not too impressed by their leader’s attempt to cover up its contents.Wasn’t openness in government one of the major planks in his election?

Comber (it’s in Co Down) was holding a summer scheme based in Comber Cricket club.  The invited a range of sporting codes, including the GAA. A mistake: the Orange Order didn’t like GAA infiltrating North Down and the whole thing was called off. Has the OO scored an own goal or triumphed over the disease of integration?

Finally, we have a series of interviews with well-known people which we will start mounting next Wednesday. Tune in on Monday to hear more about who’s the first interviewee. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back…You don’t pay any money? Oh, OK. Satisfaction guaranteed or I’ll walk in next year’s Twelfth wearing my sash and nothing else. Meanwhile, hit the button for this weekend’s treat. And (i) make sure to hit ‘Subscribe’ and (ii)Tell a friend what they’re missing and have them join us too.

2030, honestly 2035, I promise you 2040, cross my heart 2045, etc, etc. I’ll believe it when I see it Jude. But if Sinn Fein are constantly pushing back the referendum vote, people will ask what’s the point voting for them.

SF are obviously playing the long game. The northern state was created using a huge artificial Protestant majority. The founders never envisaged the day arriving when the taigs would be a majority. Had unionist politicians treated them fairly rather than perpetuate their anti Catholic tropes, maybe they would have held onto top spot. Who knows. Fact is SF just have to persuade a majority of people in the middle, you know, gay people, liberals, immigrants, the sort of people unionism has derided. Not looking good for the so called union.
