With government files from back in the day spilling out, some are of more interest than others. Some are a bit daft, like the Irish government’s concern that Freddie Scappaticci might commit suicide. You mean, like Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide? Mmm. Others are more interesting.
Bobby Storey for one. The UK files indicate that British officials believed Bobby was responsible for the Northern Bank heist. Wow. I’ve been approached by several dogs in my street who barked up the same information a few decades back. And if they had evidence Bobby was involved, why didn’t they arrest him?
Ditto for the claims that Gerry Adams was on the IRA’s governing council. He could well have been; but if the security services are producing these claims, they need to (i) join the queue, and (ii) pfoduce the evidence.Because if they were certain he was on the IRA top table, how is it they didn’t arrest him?
A note of caution: if the British or anyone else is going to announce that Bobby or Gerry were involved in IRA activities, isn’t it odd that they never seem to cite evidence? And if you make claims like that without evidence, isn’t that defamation and open to legal action from the defamed?
Thin ice, guys. Thin ice.

You mean like when the BBC defamed Gerry?
They didnt walk on thin ice – they just thought they could to walk on water.
Their evidence would be the best money can buy. Remember how they said the fourteen killed on Bloody Sunday were carrying weapons? Pure baloney. The IRA like all the armed groups told lies for propaganda reasons. The difference is we are somehow obliged to believe the lies told by the British government. Sorry, can’t do.
Very good jude happy New year
I once asked Bobby himself and he said “it’s not true” !
