These are bad days to be a Tory. The latest defector from the Tories to Farage’s Reform Party is Robert Jenmerick, who ran for the Tory leadership. Minister for Immigration in the South, Jim O’Callaghan,is bringing forward a law that’ll prevent the family of a refugee from joining him/her in the South for three years – in practice, probably closer to five years. Will this improve O’Callaghan’s chances of succeeding Micheál Martin?
And is the Republican party in the US coming apart at the seams? Its most powerful podcaster, Joe Rogan, very supportive up to now, has spoken of the “Gestapo roaming the streets”. Is King Trump’s castle preparing to subside?
