OK. Time to get your contributions in for Saturday Pics of the week. I’m starting with mine because there have been no other submissions yet (ahem, Antrim Lens/John Patton).
- The picture above is of Matt, one of my three sons. People who’ve known me for a long time swear that he is my expectorating image. I’d like to think that was true but the fact is he’s much better-looking. If you were watching Channel 5 News yesterday evening, you’d have seen him on commenting on this latest charity craze, featuring David Beckham in his underpants doing 22 press-ups on top of a piano. Shakespeare said “There’s no art/To find the mind’s construction in the face”. I think this pic is the exception.
I suspect the Order will not stick to their word. Otherwise they would have started a respectful talks process long ago, as opposed to insisting on a return parade followed by negotiations on future parades there after. For me, this is all about their so called return parade.
The residents are being asked to trust loyalist paramilitaries, I think that’s not going to work out well. Then again it’s easy for me to say these things, I haven’t lived with so called camp twaddell on my doorstep for years. Maybe the residents want at least 9 months of peace before this kicks off next summer.
