SLOW BURNER (48 Years).
An article including song and lyrics (in two parts)
By Randall Stephen Hall © Part 1.
We’ll begin with the song first, born out of a frustration
with our local government, especially the Assembly. (Article in the 2nd part).
In this song I imagine I am singing directly to members of the Assembly.
This has been prompted by the most recent faux pas, the “CASH FOR ASH”
scheme. 400 million and growing.
The flags protests only cost the public purse 16 million.

I’m dyin’ from livin’
I’m waiting to live.
I work in this box now.
My heart is a sieve.
I catch what you say.
Process it and cough.
You make me just spit now
For it just ain’t enough.
You expect me to take
All you’ve dumped on my plate.
Your salty beef burgers
And your rough tongue of hate.
Exporting your freedoms
With drones at my door.
Those rags that you hang out
Don’t believe them no more.
CHORUS.
We are moving along
As we stand in our queues
Like sheep that go baa
Like cows that go moo
For standing in line
You don’t have to think.
I thirst with no choice
Cause it’s you that I drink.
I’m taking a break
From all of your crap.
Step out for some air now.
The door at the back.
The hate from your words
Could warm me in winter.
You chop up my wood
And live off the splinters.
CHORUS.
And when I get back
Hey, i’m bringing a crowd.
For we want to speak up
And say things out loud.
We’ll rattle your cage
Bananas are yellow.
It’s time for a change now
Cause you’re such a fine fellow.
Division divides
Divisively set.
You keep us apart and feed us like pets.
Dyin’ from livin’
i’m waitin’ to live.
I work in this box now
And my heart is a sieve.

Typical cop out- direct your comments to the DUP and less of the “one side’s as bad as the other” crap!
