RHI WE CRY by Randall Stephen Hall

I was inspired this morning by connecting an image of the
broken mouth sculpture (its waters no longer run) at Queen’s University Library, Belfast
to our broken politics up at the Assembly in Northern ireland.

RHI WE CRY.

Like the broken front teeth

Of a beggar man

The RHI Scandal reveals itself

From out of the dark spaces

And shadowy corners

Of a mouth that should be

Articulating our needs, our hopes

Our lives, amongst a broken peace.

RHI we cry, RHI.

From out the mouth that should

Trickle and run the clear waters

Of democratic government

Comes the broken workings of shame

Intrigue, greed, and the foul waters

Of a polluted desire

For change, in a wonderful land.

Controlled and let down

By the needs of those

Who sell us ideas, schemes

And the ash of burnt feathers.

RHI we cry, RHI.

It’s all well broken, and ‘stepping aside’ civil service speak for ‘moving to another branch, so maintaining one’s high publicly funded wage, and pension entitlement’ , many whom write on this blog will recall I have, several times, called for civil service dismissals and repayment of pensions.
The move by an Aier aigdeas this afternoon was just what I was thinking earlier, on my way to sit with my Mammí, as she obtains a return on her long paid taxes, cancer treatment, paid for through them taxes, yet her Consultant had to apply due to it’s higher cost, we’re an awkward shower all of us, yet, somehow, and Martín should remember while he sets out the terms of reference, that all along it was solely his job, as an Airé airgedeas, to establish an inquiry into a matter which is going to cost us near a half billion quid, that the terms he establishes must recover what his previous joint gaffer, Arlene requests, an firinne acht.
Why do I doubt this will not be forthcoming, rather I suspect, Widgery like, we will be fed what the establishment (for this read aforementioned civil service) want us to learn.
This is like previous, unresolved financial messes the DUP, all ship shape and protestant looking, will want us to ignore, while their supporters in unionism will want us to continue paying for from them same sources my wee Mammí has in huge sums for feck all return, a private health, social, education etc. system would be more efficient and less costly but sure, there we go, feeding the greedy national socialist elite yet more money.
When will the con finish? When might we expect God fearing, allegedly, politicians to become honest?
Don’t let hold our breaths, I can hold mine, still, for one minute fifty seconds, insufficient time for the truth to emerge.
Vote A.N. Other or we’re doomed!.
