PAT+JUDE TALK ABOUT JOE BIDEN’S VISIT, RISHI SUNAK’S QUICKIE, AND WHY US PRESIDENTS AVOID ONE TOPIC

OK, let’s get real – there’s only one topic this week and that’s President Joe Biden’s visit to Ireland. In the north, his visit was short – but was it cool? Did he even semi-snub Rishi Sunak? And how close should the south get to the US – is there a danger that Irish warmth towards the US will end in the heat of military alliance?  And how is it that ‘Irish’ US presidents never mention THE big issue at the heart of Irish politics??

Biden is utterly devoid of human empathy and compassion. In 2021, Joe Biden blocked all 3 UN votes for an immediate ceasefire in Israel i.e. he deliberately prolonged the bombing, death and destruction inflicted on Gaza by the brutal Israeli apartheid regime. Utterly shameful but no surprise. Tel Aviv thanked Biden for blocking UN statement calling for ceasefire. Irish governments are very-willing puppets of the corporate-controlled US Empire. Ireland is the European headquarters for many large US pharmaceutical companies, as well as tech firms, including Google, Apple, and Facebook which use Ireland as a tax haven. As Easter Rising leader James Connolly said: “If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the socialist republic your efforts will be in vain.”
