What is going on in Gaza is genocide. There is no other way to describe what the Israeli government with the support of the USA, the British and the EU is doing to the people of Gaza and to Palestinian citizens living in the West Bank. Every day innocent Palestinian people are murdered.
President Biden has been complicit in this genocide. He came over to support Netanyahu and the Israeli government when he knew what their intentions were. He has invited Netanyahu to the White House.
The truth is clear for all to see. Thousands of innocent Palestinian people (more than 42,000 including 10,000 children) since October 2023 have been killed by the Israeli government. It is truly shocking. There is no end in sight.
Every year in March, Irish political leaders are invited to the White House to celebrate St Patrick’s Day and to highlight the close ties between Ireland and America. This was usually a good-humoured party.
It is difficult to see how it could be a good humoured party when we see what the Israeli government is doing with the help and support of the US government. President –elect Trump promises to continue supporting the Zionists. I would urge all Irish politicians to consider boycotting the White House party next St Patrick’s Day. This should be an Election issue.
Some years ago, people all over the world stood in solidarity with the people of South Africa to oppose the apartheid regime. Through boycott of South African goods and other symbolic actions, the Apartheid regime was eventually abolished. Irish people stood up for the oppressed people of South Africa at that critical time in their struggle for freedom from oppression.
Today, I believe that Irish political leaders must show the same kind of solidarity with the Palestinian people by boycotting Trump’s White house party on March 17th 2025. The next government in Dublin should stop allowing US military planes to refuel in Shannon or to fly in Irish air-space. The next government-unlike the present one- should uphold Irish neutrality.
Together, we must work to create justice and peace for the people in Palestine. We must send a strong message to Netanyahu –Stop the Genocide. We Irish can send a message to Ursula van Der Leyen to stop supporting Netanyahu and the Israeli army. We in Ireland can boycott Israeli goods.
People of conscience all around the world are standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people. They are opposed to the Israeli genocide in Gaza. It would be great to see the Irish political leaders boycotting the White House party on St Patrick’s day.
Such a decision would give me hope that the brutal Israeli regime will be forced to call a cease-fire and will be forced out of office. When that happens, a new day will dawn for the Palestinian people who have suffered so grievously since the Zionists went in and took over their land. Then they will be able to rebuild their lives and their country.

I guess Hamas shouldn’t have murdered, raped and took all those hostages on the 7th October last year.
That’s without doubt.
Although, having said that, there was a lot of murder, oppression and other crimes going on before 07/10/23.
Hopefully peace will come soon.
