Did you see the coverage of Dutch fans attacking those away fans from Israel? Maybe you did – so did you see the bit where the Israeli fans ripped down a Palestinian flag, or where they chanted obscenities about Gaza?
The southern election is up and running, and already we’ve had that booboo from Michael O’Leary, essentially saying teachers are no good at getting things done. Simon Harris twisted some, in trying to have good relations with O’Leary the superman business man, and having every teacher in the state vote for anyone but Fine Gael.
And the US election. Will that be the last American election the world will ever see?

I’d received a message on my phone showing a video of the Israeli fans pulling down the flag, being assaulted and then in the water. Thought to myself typical football ‘fan’ behaviour. However, when I put the BBC News website on for my morning read I couldn’t believe it was the main story/headline. ‘Antisemitism’, the Mayor of Amsterdam was out apologising, the Irseali Govt were sending not 1, but 2 ‘rescue planes’ to evacuate the injured – I had to the check the date to make sure it wasn’t April 1st.
Then more footage of the Israeli fans booing the minutes silence for the Spanish flood victims. I went back to the BBC to see if there was any mention of this. Nah, not really. 1 eye witness saying the fans brought the trouble on themselves for their behaviour – but with a footnote about Antisemitism.
When I thought of the bloodshed the IDF had caused bombing Hospitals and Schools, the loss of life and injury and displacement to thousands because of their actions, the hypocrisy/double standards stood out like a sore thumb.
Unbelievable.
