I have always wondered how it was that Hamas was able to breach the wall between the Occupied Territories and Israel . I find myself asking that question repeatedly in recent weeks as Israel has launched targeted strikes in Iran .
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in Tehran on 28 February in a US-Israeli air strike.
Senior Iranian officials, including Ali Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and a veteran powerbroker, was killed at 67 in a US-Israeli air strike in the Pardis area of Tehran on March 17th, along with his son and one of his deputies, Iranian media reported.
Ali Shamkhani, a close adviser to Khamenei and a key figure in Iran’s security and nuclear policymaking, was also killed in US-Israeli strikes on Tehran on February 28th.
Top military commanders, including Mohammad Pakpour, commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran’s most powerful military force, was killed in the February 28th strikes in Tehran.
Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s defence minister and a career air force officer, was killed in the same wave of strikes targeting senior leadership in Tehran on February 28th.
Abdolrahim Mousavi, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, was also killed in the February 28th strikes.
Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Basij paramilitary force, was killed in US-Israeli strikes on March 17th.
How could Israel know so precisely the whereabouts of these Iranian leaders? The general belief is that Israel’s ‘secret service’, Mossad, has managed to penetrate the apparently impenetrable in Iran.
Leave aside the morality of these killings. Here’s the thing. How is it that Mossad didn’t know a thing about the plans of Hamas to invade Israel and kill so many innocent people in 2023? Of all things, surely the protective border would have been at all points secure, and any plans Hamas were hatching, Mossad would soon have learned of them.
So is it possible that Israel did the maths? Were Hamas lured into invading, thus giving Israel an excuse for the months of butchery that resulted in the flattening of Gaza and the deaths of over 70,000 Palestinians?
Yes. It is so obvious, in the same way Britain’s bloody hand prints were all over our conflict, Israel had to know in advance that hundreds of Jew hating killers were heading into kill Jews. Netanyahu is as corrupt as Trump and Putin. October 7th is Israel’s Pearl Harbor (which Churchill knew in advance was going to happen but didn’t bother telling the yanks, for obvious reasons.)
